The issue last year was that the USPS driver would be running late, so they would start marking packages as "Address inaccessible" and "customer not available for signature" without even swinging by. A week ago I got a flat rate box that looked like it had been run over by a fork truck, the crushed box and now loose contents stuffed in an *open* plastic bag with "We care" written on the outside. Here the issue seems to be USPS at the moment. MSP 90 minutes away on the other hand we had to stop using UPS as they destroyed even the best packaged product with shocking regularity. Not more than 5 minutes later I was connected to the actual driver to find the box. In Rochester MN, I had an issue where UPS showed a delivered package that wasn't there. It seems to come and go as to which carrier is causing issues, and I suspect it is heavily dependent on a few people.
You probably need to talk to someone local as the issue is probably there. My guess is that the driver needs to tie the door tag to a real tracking number and sometimes they don't. A tag left by the driver links seamlessly to the package and I have full control. I have a small box expected with $20,000 worth of raw material stuff in it, also expecting others with $49 inside.ĭon't know which box this is as I can not track it.įor sure tomorrow I can make some phone calls and get "real" tracking numbers, I should not have to.Īs a aside I have never had this problem with UPS over many decades of use. It is a very repeatable problem.Įither I am doing something very wrong or FedEx needs to do some house cleaning in IT. I would not whine and complain if this was a one off occurrence. Why bother giving out a number that is absolutely worthless?
